Hallowe'en Party!

Miranda's school chum Jemima and family hosted a wonderful soiree, replete with costumes, pumpkin carving, a huge bonfire, and a yummy al fresco dinner (first time ever hot dogs for M!) Nothing like putting a bunch of preschoolers around a roaring fire, equipped with long, sharp sticks and dressed in flammable costumes! The great thing is, after a few drinks, you don't worry so much...

Beauties and the Beast

Miranda, Eliana (aka Hurricaine Ellie) and Lenya are masters of the art of looking like a princess while screaming like a banshee. My mom (nobly assisting at the coronation) finally had to tell them, "Stop! You're hurting Nana's ears!" They graciously obliged by attempting to escalate to a register only Tycho could hear. Meanwhile, Tycho's doggy devotion to Miranda and her entourage was evidenced by his restraint in not gobbling up these scrumptious little morsels, and his resigned look as they tripped over him and pushed past him on their way out of the house: patience on a monument indeed.

Punk'n' Pie

Miranda cooked up a storm (the kind that really musses your hair--in a good way!) this weekend: pumpkin pies, turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and lots of fun with various friends and family!

Can you tell who's who here? Miranda and Jada always have a super time together, whether attempting duets on the piano, dancing up a storm, cuddled up watching a video (highly recommended: Charlotte's Web), snacking voraciously on sweet or savoury treats, or playing on the swings. Go, girls!
